Some companies say they are doing collections door to door for charity but seldom this is the case. Most authentic clothes recyclers don’t do door to door collections but one tip is to ring the number on the sticker they provide you. It is actually very easy to spot a fake collector, below are a number of ways in which you can tell whether they are fake or by simply looking at the bag or sticker they have dropped off. - The sticker/bags which they have provided often only have a mobile number on them with no address or charity number featured. - More often than not the mobile number which has been provided is actually fake. - Are you able to recognise the charity that they say they are working with and does it have a web site? - Have they got a charity number?
